The PLUG is any piece of wood or other substance used to fill a hole. 

Using a PLUG CUTTER, a counterbore can be filled with an appropriately sized piece of dowel or a wooden plug cut from an offcut of the same timber. Carbide tipped Plug Cutters will outlast ten folds any others. They stay sharp longer and keep their precise measurments.

In simple terms, a TENON is a projecting member left by cutting away the wood around it, and made to insert into a matching mortise to secure the parts together. Our tenon maker is a premium quality tool Made in Germany. It will produce precise rods from a wide variety of timbers.
