Sales Representative for Dimar Canada
Position Summary:
The Sales Representative will be dedicated to prospecting, closing, and assisting in the facilitation of securing new distributors. In addition, the applicant will be expected to increase sales volume among existing accounts and or those that have become inactive.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals with new and existing distributors
• Increase Market share within the accounts
• Maintain product margin through contract negotiations
• Manage expenses effectively and conservatively
• Maintain an accurate and timely forecast
• Weekly office visits and interaction with inside team members
• Build a robust pipeline through prospecting and networking
• Strategically identify account needs for each account and effectively utilize internal resources to move the account through the pipeline life cycle; including evaluations when necessary
• Build multiple relationships within each account to maximize exposure
• Update all information, correspondence and communications on a continuous basis
• Travel 75% of the time while maintaining a professional company image
Required Skills:
• 5+ years’ experience in cutting tool or woodworking tool sales
• Extensive training in solutions selling, negotiations, and distribution.
• Demonstrated success as a top sales performer, consistently exceeding quota.
• Self-starter with experience and desire to acquire new business while remaining a team player.
The show took place on November 2nd -3rd 2017, in The International Centre Toronto it was a busy and interesting event. The show featured a diverse seminars and presentations, the big and small companies presented their tools and services.
WOODWORKING SHOW RETURNS WITH SUCCESSFUL SECOND EDITION
Building directly on the success of the inaugural edition of Canada Woodworking West (October 2015), the show’s second edition was a strong follow-up, cementing the fact that Western Canadian secondary woodworkers are eager to support this industry event.
The show took place Wednesday, October 4th and Thursday, October 5th at TRADEX, and was a hit right out of the gate, with registration numbers in advance of the show significantly up over 2015 numbers.
“It was great to see visitors lined up to get into the show on the first morning,” said Show Manager Mike Neeb. “We’ve had great feedback from exhibitors saying they were happy with both the quantity and quality of visitors at this year’s event.”
The 2017 edition of the show grew to include more exhibitors and also saw significant growth in attendance, which increased nearly 31% over the previous show. A qualified audience of 1,887 cabinet manufacturers, residential and commercial furniture manufacturers, architectural woodworkers, millworkers and custom wood product manufacturers was in attendance.
Exhibitors were pleased with the crowds and indicated that the people they wanted to connect with were at the show:
KMS Tools – “really pleased with the opening morning crowd”
Sames Kremlin – “great prospects right from the start”
Craftsman Specialty Products – “the right audience for us”
The show also featured a diverse seminar series, with sessions by the UBC Centre for Advanced Wood Processing, the Wood Manufacturing Council, the Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association, and FPInnovations. Seminars took place on both days of the show and were free of charge to show visitors.
Next up is Canada Woodworking East, returning for its third edition in October 2018. This biennial woodworking show is the only bilingual show for the cabinet and furniture industry, and new for 2018, it will be relocating from Montreal to Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec! Search by Words: Enter key word, for example “Dewalt” and click Search. All knives for Dewalt planer machines will be displayed.
