Convex bits are bits with cutting edges that curve outward. They may produce perfectly shaped half circle, or an elongated shape. When the bits are Convex, they produce a Concave cuts in wood. Convex bits are used to create beading close to the edge of the stock, as they are gliding along the material by means of a ball bearing guide.
